In general, many types of paper, plastics, and metals can be recycled.
Special collection areas exist for hazardous wastes such as used oil, fluorescent lighting, and chemicals.
Most people will utilize the curbside recycling program. To recycle at the curb simply put your recyclable materials together. Either mix them all in a blue plastic bag and set them near your trash, or place them all together in a city/county-provided recycle bin and place them by your trash on pickup day.
Keep in mind some cities (Black Mountain) pick up recycling every other week.
Remove and discard lids. Thoroughly rinse out.
Only recycle Clear, Brown, and Green glass.
